Updated Information for Visitors to Our Hospice
We understand that family and loved ones play a large part in the wellbeing of our patients. We also appreciate that, as an essential service, we must protect our patients, staff, and community from any potential harm the best we possibly can.
To ensure our care and support of patients will continue wherever they are – at home, our hospice, Hutt Hospital or an Aged Care Facility – we have made the tough decision to reduce the number of visitors coming through our hospice.
Visitors will be limited to two per patient at any one time, with a maximum of two people staying overnight.
We will continue to welcome visitors between 8am – 6pm and ask that all visitors come through the main doors only and sign-in using the iPad at the entrance.
As a health service, we do require that you wear a surgical mask at-all-times while at the hospice.
Please don’t visit our hospice if you are unwell or have symptoms of cold or flu; or if you have been asked to isolate. If you are unsure, please check with us first on (04) 569 7921.
Thank you for helping keep our hospice safe.
